In this project, CyI is providing services to the Transmission System Operator (TSO) of the Republic of Cyprus to prepare its long-term (10-year) forecast of power generation and peak electricity load demand in line with the requirements of the national Energy Regulator and following the practices of the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity. Our work involves the following:
– Preparation of an appropriate and analytically described electricity forecasting methodology
– Preparation of the computational tool(s) that implement the forecast methodology
– Training of TSO staff to use the methodology and the tool
– Maintenance of the tool for one year after its delivery to TSO
