Hydrogen is an energy vector with increased projected significance for the whole world, including Cyprus and the EMME region. This discussion paper presents an overview of the status of the technology, and the relevance and significance for Cyprus for the next years in the sectors it is projected to play a significant role in.
The paper also proposes a certain set of policies to accelerate its adoption in the most relevant sectors for Cyprus, as well as increasing the country’s readiness for the – inevitable – changes hydrogen will bring to the energy system of the future.
