Scientific Software

Leveraging on the strong expertise in scientific software development of its members, the group is developing a set of state-of-art computational tools streamlined with advanced scientific workflows to assist in the definition, design, simulation, and optimization of CST systems, particularly of solar tower systems. These tools are incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) technologies to support radically innovative optimization approaches, with special focus on generative design of key CST components, such as the central receiver and the heliostat field.
